Russia launched more than 90 drones and missiles at Ukraine

On the night of October 6, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Ukraine using various types of missiles and strike drones. Ukrainian military forces detected and tracked over 90 aerial targets.

According to the press service of the Ukrainian Air Force, the Russians launched two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, one Iskander-K cruise missile, one Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missile, and 87 Shahed drones from the regions of Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Kursk in Russia.

The Ukrainian Air Force, with the help of aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire teams, repelled the attack. As a result, two missiles and 56 kamikaze drones were destroyed in various regions, including Mykolaiv, Odessa, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Chernihiv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Zaporizhzhia, Zhytomyr, and Kharkiv regions.

As of 9:00 a.m., 25 drones were lost due to active electronic warfare measures, and four more drones remain in Ukrainian airspace as the combat continues.
