Sumy region
Part of Sumy remains without power following a nighttime Russian attack, the head of the Sumy City Military Administration, Serhiy Kryvosheyenko, reported on Telegram. According to him, energy crews are currently working to restore electricity supply.
Kryvosheyenko noted that all water utility facilities in the city have been cut off from the grid but switched to emergency backup power. Today, water will be supplied on a limited schedule and with reduced pressure: from 5:00 to 10:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00. Healthcare facilities remain with power thanks to backup energy sources. He also said that 18 buses and seven trolleybuses operating in autonomous mode are currently running in the city. The transport schedule is being updated, and additional buses will be deployed to routes shortly.
Kryvosheyenko assured that all services are working to restore critical infrastructure as quickly as possible.
Poltava region
In the Poltava region, a Russian airstrike damaged an energy enterprise, causing power outages, according to Volodymyr Kohut, head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration.
He stated that on the night of August 27, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Poltava. Debris fell, and direct hits were recorded in the Poltava district.
“An energy sector enterprise was affected. The administrative building, vehicles, and equipment were damaged. Fires broke out on the enterprise’s premises. There were also power outages for residential and commercial consumers. As of now, the fires have been contained, and electricity has been restored,” Kohut said, adding that there were no casualties
Kherson region
On the morning of August 27, Russian forces carried out an artillery strike on Kherson, leaving one person dead and another injured. The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office reported this on Telegram.
Investigators stated that at around 04:45, Russian troops shelled Kherson. As a result of the attack, an 81-year-old woman was killed, and a 53-year-old woman was injured and taken to the hospital.
Also in the Kherson region, 11 people were injured over the past day due to Russian strikes. Three multi-story buildings, five private houses, and private vehicles were damaged.
Zaporizhzhia region
In the morning, Russian forces struck the Polohy district of the Zaporizhzhia region, injuring a man, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
“Three enemy strikes hit the territory of one of the villages in the Polohy district. As a result of the attack, private houses were damaged by the blast wave and shrapnel,” Fedorov wrote.
A 63-year-old man was injured.
Dnipropetrovsk region
The Russian army carried out strikes on the Nikopol and Synelnykove districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region, causing damage. This was reported by Serhiy Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
He stated that from the evening through the night and into the morning, Russian forces attacked Nikopol and the Marhanets, Pokrovska, and Myrivska communities of the Nikopol district. The Russian forces used drones and heavy artillery. A five-story residential building was damaged. In the Povska community of the Synelnykove district, a farm caught fire due to a Russian drone attack; the fire has been extinguished.
Lysak emphasized that there were no casualties or injuries.
Donetsk region
Over the past day, the Russian army killed two residents of Donetsk, according to Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration. He said that the two people were killed in Kostiantynivka and Bokove. An additional 12 people were injured over the same period.
The head of the administration emphasized that the total number of Russian-caused casualties in Donetsk (3,436 dead and 7,898 injured) does not include Mariupol and Volnovakha.
