Kherson region
In the Kherson region, two people were killed and seven others were injured over the past day due to Russian aggression, according to Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Kherson Regional State Administration.
According to him, the settlements of Antonivka, Zelenivka, Prydniprovskе, Dniprovske, Rozlyv, Berehove, Bilozerka, Kizomys, Stanislav, Sofiivka, Shyroka Balka, Oleksandrivka, Ivanivka, Veletenske, Chereshenky, Poniativka, Kyselivka, Darivka, Mykilske, Novotiagynka, Zarychne, Beryslav, Dudchany, Olhivka, Osokorivka, Novoraisk, Novovoznesenske, Zolota Balka, Havrylivka, Burhunka, Virivka, Lvivove, Tokarivka, Tiagynka, Vesele, Kozatske, and the city of Kherson came under Russian drone terror, artillery shelling, and airstrikes.
Five apartment buildings, eight private houses, a grain warehouse, a utility structure, and a private vehicle were damaged. Prokudin emphasized that as a result of Russian aggression, two people were killed and seven others were injured, including one child.
Dnipropetrovsk region
On the evening of Monday, August 4, the Russian army attacked the Nikopol and Synelnykove districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region, using drones and Grad multiple rocket launchers. This was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak.
"Several times, the aggressor attacked the Nikopol area — in the evening and in the morning. Nikopol, the Marhanets, and Pokrovska communities came under fire. The enemy used drones and Grad MLRS," Lysak reported.
In addition, according to him, the Russian army attacked the Malomykhailivska community in the Synelnykove district with UAVs. He added that there were no civilian casualties. Lysak also reported that during the night, air defense forces shot down three drones over the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Zaporizhzhia region
Over the past day, Russian forces shelled 16 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, killing four people and injuring three others. This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
"Four people were killed and three injured as a result of enemy attacks on the Zaporizhzhia region. Over the past day, the occupiers carried out 431 strikes on 16 settlements in the region," Fedorov stated.
According to him, Russian troops launched 11 airstrikes on the settlements of Malokaterynivka, Zarychne, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Uspenivka, and Bilohirya. Also, 305 drones of various types (mainly FPV) attacked Malokaterynivka, Bilenke, Stepnohirsk, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Zelene, Malynivka, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, and Charivne. 5 attacks using Grad multiple rocket launchers were recorded in Huliaipole and Mala Tokmachka.
The Russian forces also carried out 110 artillery strikes on the territories of Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novoandriivka. According to the regional administration, 21 reports were received regarding the destruction of apartments, non-residential buildings, private houses, and warehouse facilities.
Donetsk region
On August 4, Russian forces injured three residents of the Donetsk region, according to Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
The total number of casualties in Donetsk region caused by Russian forces stands at 3,393 killed and 7,754 injured — excluding data from Mariupol and Volnovakha.
Sumy region
Over the course of a day, from the morning of August 4 to the morning of August 5, Russian forces carried out 110 strikes on 36 settlements in the Sumy region, according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts. The Russians carried out 25 VOG grenade drops from UAVs, launched 45 strikes with guided aerial bombs, and used FPV drones and other types of unmanned aerial vehicles. In the Mykolaivka settlement community, a non-residential building was damaged.
During the day, 19 more people were evacuated from border communities of the Sumy region.
Kharkiv region
Russian attacks on Ukraine’s Kharkiv region claimed the lives of three civilians and left ten others injured over the past 24 hours, including two children, according to regional authorities. Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, reported that 6 settlements came under fire, with the worst damage occurring in Lozova and the village of Lyman in the Vovchansk community.
In Lyman, a woman and a 49-year-old man were killed as a result of shelling. Meanwhile, Lozova was subjected to a massive drone assault between 2:45 a.m. and 4:40 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5. Preliminary data indicate that Russian forces launched 33 drones at the city. A 55-year-old railway duty mechanic was killed in the attack, and ten others were injured, including a 13-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy. Four of the injured were railway workers who were hospitalized with mild to moderate injuries. Several others, including the children, suffered acute stress reactions.
The strike caused fires at the Lozova railway depot and train station, damaging key infrastructure. According to Syniehubov, the Russian military used a combination of weaponry in the attack: four guided aerial bombs (GABs), 35 Geran-2 drones, one Molniya-type drone, two FPV drones, and one additional drone whose type has not yet been identified.
