Russian attacks injure dozens civilians across Ukrainian regions

Russian forces killed one civilian and wounded at least 29 others over the past day as a result of attacks on several regions of Ukraine, regional authorities reported on December 14.

In the Donetsk region, one person was killed and four others were injured, according to the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Vadym Filashkin. The fatality was recorded in the city of Druzhkivka. Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the number of civilian casualties in the region has reached 3,768 killed and 8,589 injured, excluding the occupied cities of Mariupol and Volnovakha.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian forces used Grad multiple rocket launch systems and drones, leaving five people wounded, said regional military administration head Vladyslav Haivanenko. In the Mykolaivska community of the Synelnykove district, drone strikes injured two men aged 29 and 42, sparked fires, and damaged infrastructure. Additional drone attacks were recorded in Pavlohrad and Pyatykhatky, where infrastructure facilities and a transport enterprise were damaged.

The Marhanets community in the Nikopol district also came under Grad fire. As a result of the attack, a 51-year-old woman, a 55-year-old man, and a 19-year-old man were injured and are receiving outpatient treatment. Air defense units shot down 22 Russian drones over the region.

In the Kherson region, six people were wounded during the day due to Russian drone attacks, air strikes, and artillery shelling, according to regional administration head Oleksandr Prokudin. Numerous settlements, including Kherson, Beryslav, Antonivka, Bilozerka, and Chornobaivka, were affected. The attacks damaged five apartment buildings, four private houses, a farm, and a supermarket.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian forces carried out 850 strikes on 23 settlements over the past day, said regional military administration head Ivan Fedorov. Fourteen people were injured during an attack on Zaporizhzhia on December 14. The strikes included seven air attacks, 567 drone launches—mostly FPV drones—four multiple rocket launcher attacks, and 272 artillery strikes. Authorities received 104 reports of damage to residential buildings, vehicles, and civilian infrastructure.
