Drones operated by the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) struck Russian Su-35 and Su-34 fighter aircraft at a military airfield in the Republic of Adygea, Russia, the SSU reported.

“Last night, the Security Service of Ukraine successfully attacked the Khanskaya military airfield in Russia’s Republic of Adygea. The target was located about 500 km away,” the SSU said.

Drones operated by the SSU’s Alpha Special Operations Centre struck a Su-35 multirole fighter, considered one of Russia’s most advanced combat aircraft. Its export value is estimated at around $100 million.

A Su-34 fighter-bomber, a key aircraft of Russia’s tactical aviation, was also struck. Its export value is estimated at around $50 million.

In addition, an ammunition depot at the airfield was hit.
