Russian forces remain blocked at the aggregate plant in Vovchansk, Kharkiv region. The aggressors are attempting to break through there.
This was reported by the spokesperson Yuriy Povkh of the Operational-Tactical Group Kharkiv in an interview with Radio Free Europe.
According to the spokesperson, since the beginning of the day, Russians have launched two attacks in the Vovchansk area, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces are resisting the enemy.
He confirmed that Russian troops remain at the aggregate plant in Vovchansk, and the Russian forces are blocked there. However, he did not specify the number of Russian aggressors still at the plant.
"This enclave remains blocked by the forces of the Ukrainian defense... They (other Russian forces) are trying to break through, and one of the directions in Vovchansk is towards the plant. They are conducting attacks, but our defense forces are repelling them," Povkh said.
According to Oleg Synegubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, the situation in Vovchansk is "volatile," with street fighting ongoing. He noted that several dozen Russian soldiers are blocked at one of the industrial enterprises in the city.
