Russian forces shelled the center of Kupyansk on February 28, using guided aerial bombs (KABs). Two people were killed, another woman was injured, and there may be more people under the rubble.
This was reported by the Telegram channel of the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov, to the police of the Kharkiv region.
"The occupiers struck the city of Kupyansk with KABs. Hits were recorded in the central part of the city," Synegubov said.
According to him, as a result of the enemy shelling, a 59-year-old and a 39-year-old man were killed, and one woman was injured.
"There may be people under the rubble," added the head of the military administration.
As noted by the Kharkiv region police, the shelling destroyed a cafe and a church in the city.
"The cafe building was damaged. A 31-year-old woman was injured, her 39-year-old brother was killed. Hits were recorded in the Church of Jesus Christ. A 58-year-old pastor was trapped under the rubble. He sustained injuries incompatible with life," law enforcement officials added.
