Russian shelling disrupts train deliveries to several ports

The Russian forces last night again attacked Ukraine’s logistics infrastructure — railways and port facilities were targeted.

This was reported on Facebook by Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, Oleksiy Kuleba.

He noted that in the Chernihiv region, a traction substation of Ukrzaliznytsia was damaged. Overnight, railway energy workers began repairing the destruction, but the Russian forces sent UAVs to the site of the restoration work. Workers were moved to safety in time — there were no casualties. Train movement is maintained, with reserve locomotives deployed.

“The enemy also attacked port infrastructure — some facilities and buildings were damaged. The fire was quickly contained. Port workers were in shelters, so fortunately there were no casualties. For now, several ports are not receiving trains; they have been dispersed across the network and will proceed when ready,” Kuleba added.
