The Russian occupiers are burning Ukrainian literature in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. War criminals confiscate books from libraries that do not coincide with the postulates of Kremlin propaganda.

This was reported in the press service of the Central Intelligence Agency of Ukraine.

Russian units of the "military police" are involved. In addition to the repressive, they perform so-called "ideological functions". The police are most interested in books on the history of Ukrainian Maidans, ATO / OOS, and the history of Ukrainian liberation struggles. "Extremist" literature "includes school textbooks on Ukrainian history, scientific and popular historical literature.

The occupiers even have a list of banned names, including:

  • Mazepa
  • Petliura.
  • Bandera.
  • Shukhevich.
  • Chornovol.
  • There were also seizure cases of the book "The Case of Vasily Stus" by Vakhtang Kipiani.

The found books are confiscated, destroyed on the spot or taken out in an unknown direction
