Military expert in radio technology and serviceman Serhiy Beskrestnov, call sign "Flash," claims that the number of Starlink terminals on Russian positions has significantly increased. He reported this during a TV broadcast.

"What is Russia doing? They are privately purchasing Starlink through fake or affiliated companies linked to Russian businesses and then sending them to the front, where Russian soldiers are using Starlink. In theory, SpaceX could track these Starlink terminals and disable them, but that isn’t happening. As a result, we observe that Russians are acquiring more and more Starlink terminals. A year ago, this wasn’t the case. It’s not a disaster yet, but it’s very difficult for us because we thought Starlink was working for us, but now we see that Starlink is being used by the Russians," Beskrestnov said.

He also noted that, in theory, all Starlink operations in these areas could be halted. However, the Ukrainian army also uses Starlink for communication in strike and reconnaissance drones, so this is not possible.

The military expert added that SpaceX strictly adheres to international sanctions and does not provide services to Russia. However, on occupied territories, including Crimea, which are considered part of Ukraine,

"Starlink provides services, and Russians can freely use this type of communication on occupied territories."
