The Security Service of Ukraine exposed and detained two citizens of Ukraine who were "leaking" the positions of the Ukrainian military in the Kharkiv region to the invaders.
The law enforcement officers established that these were local residents who, by the ideological reasons, agreed to cooperate with the Russians.
Through her connections among Kharkiv residents, the woman collected and passed on information to the enemy about deployment locations, units' movement routes, and the Armed Forces' equipment.
Her accomplice is an employee of one of the companies providing energy supply services. The man had free access to buildings and structures, so, using his official position, he could unimpededly identify the places of deployment of the Ukrainian military.
The pre-trial investigation established that one of the main tasks of the traitors was to obtain current passwords used at Ukrainian checkpoints.
Enemy agents regularly transmitted all collected information to representatives of the Russian Federation with the help of messengers.
During searches of the residence of the perpetrators, means of communication with evidence of illegal activity were seized.
Both suspects were remanded in custody for 60 days without bail.
Investigations were carried out by employees of the SBU Department in the Kharkiv region under the procedural guidance of the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office.
