Scandinavian airline SAS has removed Nesquik beverages from its menu due to Nestle's inclusion in the list of sponsors of the war in Ukraine. TV2 channel reported this.
The source received an email confirming the airline's decision.
"We can confirm that we have excluded Nesquik from the onboard assortment due to the addition of Nestle to the Ukrainian list of war sponsors," SAS wrote.
The company has also rejected Pepsi beverages.
SAS stated that it is in communication with suppliers to clarify their intentions.
"In addition, we are in dialogue with a small group of suppliers to understand their plans for the future," the airline wrote.
The "International War Sponsors" list is a tool to pressure companies that continue to do business with Russia. It aims to encourage these companies to cease cooperation with Russia and thereby reduce its financial and technological support. The National Agency for Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) maintains the list.
The NAPC of Ukraine added Nestle to the list of war sponsors due to its operations in Russia. As of the beginning of 2022, the company had seven factories in Russia.
