Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz called on fellow citizens to take a clear stance against anti-Semitism.
He made this statement in an interview with Mannheimer Morgen. According to him, those who attack Jews in Germany are "attacking all of us."
He emphasized, "That's why all of us should stand up to defend the Jews in Germany; it's about civic courage."
The Federal Chancellor also emphasized that it is the state's duty to protect Jewish institutions, and anti-Semitism must be fought against with no tolerance.
He stated, "Law enforcement agencies have the necessary tools and should use them consistently. I have the impression that the police and the courts know what to do."
