The government of Slovakia has made the decision to provide Ukraine with a humanitarian aid package for the winter. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Slovakia on January 4, the total amount of aid will be 203,492 euros.
The humanitarian assistance package will include heaters, power stations, clothing, first aid kits, as well as food and drinking water. The provision of humanitarian aid to Ukraine has been coordinated by the Slovak Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"The crisis can affect every country, and solidarity between countries can be a key element in addressing global challenges," stated the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The aid to Ukraine "in the future may signify similar support to Slovakia from other countries in the event of any crisis," the ministry adds.
The transportation of aid from Slovakia to Ukraine will be managed by the transportation network with the support of the European Commission.
