Spain's Defense Minister Margarita Robles announced that her country will soon send 10 electric generators to Ukraine.

According to the Spanish Ministry of Defense, she made this statement during a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group at the U.S. Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

"Among them, she highlighted the upcoming shipment of 10 electric generators, as well as the offer of new training courses for the personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and a new humanitarian aid program for Ukrainian families, which will begin this Sunday, January 12," the statement said.

Additionally, Robles had expressive words of recognition for U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, in his last participation in this format of the Contact Group meetings, highlighting "his leadership, dedication, and success in effectively coordinating military support for Ukraine from more than 50 countries."

Secretary Austin and President Zelensky, who thanked the efforts of countries providing military support in terms of material and training, in addition to their humanitarian support, were responsible for opening this meeting. Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov was also present, and the host of the meeting was German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.

During the meeting, ministers were informed about the ongoing developments of the war, which continues despite winter, worsened by the participation of third-country troops on Russian soil. The fighting remains focused in eastern Ukraine and the Russian region of Kursk, although Russia continues to target critical civilian infrastructure in all areas of Ukrainian territory, affecting essential services for the population.

Ministers were also briefed on the most urgent short-term needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and reviewed ongoing support initiatives within the different coalitions of capabilities in support of Ukraine.

Throughout the day, Robles, accompanied by Admiral Juan Francisco Martínez Núñez, Secretary General of Defense Policy, held bilateral meetings with U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and her Ukrainian counterpart, Rustem Umerov.
