Roman Kostenko stressed that the Russians could go on the offensive in one of these areas.
SSU Colonel Roman Kostenko believes that the Russian invaders can go on the offensive in the Zaporizhzhia or Kherson directions. He spoke about this on the air of the Espresso TV channel.
Kostenko stressed that these areas should be under the careful attention of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"We must not forget that the South is quite important for the Russian Federation, and we must be careful both here and in the Zaporizhzhia direction. These two directions - Zaporizhzhia and Kherson - should be under the careful attention of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since it is not clear where the enemy will go on the offensive. And I do not doubt that he will go on the offensive because the commander was replaced by Surovikin, not just so that he could possibly withdraw troops, but so that he would show some result," the SSU colonel said.
Kostenko stressed that the Kremlin expects results from Surovikin, so the Armed Forces of Ukraine must be ready to change the invaders' tactics.
"I think that missile strikes are not a result, someone could do it, give the command for terrorist acts, but they are waiting for the seizure of territories from Surovikin. Therefore, we need to be careful. And the South is important for the Russian Federation, and gaining a foothold up the Dnieper is also important for the Russians. Therefore, we must be careful," he concluded.
Recall that the army of the Russian Federation suffered huge losses in the Avdeevka direction in the Donetsk region. On Saturday, October 29, the invaders tried 41 to carry out assault operations.
In the Lugansk region, the occupiers are undermining bridges to prevent the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
