Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, SSU employees have hit 1,226 Russian tanks, which is essentially every eighth tank.
This was reported by the spokesperson for the Security Service of Ukraine, Artem Dehtyarenko, during a television broadcast.
“In total, since the beginning of the war, SSU employees have already hit 1,226 Russian tanks. This number is from the beginning of this week, and it is constantly growing. This means that essentially every eighth tank that Ukraine has destroyed in the war with the Russian Federation was destroyed directly by the Security Service of Ukraine,” Dehtyarenko stated.
In addition, according to him, the Security Service has neutralized thousands of other enemy weapons, including artillery systems, air defense means, electronic warfare systems, and more.
Commenting on the downing of a Russian helicopter over the Kursk region with the help of an FPV drone, Dehtyarenko noted that two such incidents have already been recorded.
On August 7, the Defense Forces destroyed a Russian Mi-28 helicopter over the Kursk region with the help of an FPV drone.
“As for the helicopter in the Kursk region, this is indeed a unique and very rare case where FPV drones managed to hit a helicopter in flight. The SBU special forces have already recorded two such shootdowns in flight, both of which occurred in the Kursk region,” the spokesperson informed.
