Starting from December 13, the Ukrainian-Polish film 'Shchedryk' will be available on the Netflix platform

The film depicts events unfolding from 1938 in Ivano-Frankivsk, then known as Stanislaviv. One empire displaces another, ruling regimes are in conflict, and the world around is rapidly changing. In one neighboring house, several families of different nationalities lived – Ukrainians, Poles, Germans, and Jews. Turbulent events left no chance for a happy and peaceful life for any of the adults. Thanks to the singing teacher Sophia, the children at least had a chance to feel safe for a while. Together, they sang, forgetting the dreadful present and dreaming of a happy future.
