For the third month, the Ukrainian people have been defending themselves on various fronts, setting an example to the world. All this time, the Ukrainian Startup Fund continues to cover the stories of startups that joined the fight against the enemy and adapted to work in wartime.
The team of the Drill startup, which won 35 Pitch Day, presented the eponymous mobile application for training in tactical shooting and self-defense. The application has a full course of exercises, lessons and tasks with interactive tools to track the level of progress and skills development.
The founders of the startup shared that the war caught them during a vacation in the west of the country, but on the second day of the invasion, they returned to the capital. Part of the team volunteered, evacuated people from Kyiv to safer regions, delivered humanitarian aid to hotspots, and joined the Territorial Defence. Now one of Drill's co-founders is at the forefront.
Thanks to a grant from Ukrainian Startup Fund, the startup was able to save jobs and continue product development.
"Today, our product, which we developed more than a year ago, when a full-scale war with Russia seemed unrealistic, is very relevant because it teaches how to handle weapons safely and improves shooting skills. And thanks to the offline mode, you can train even in the trench on the front line ", - shares the co-owner of DrillApps LLS Alexander Gusarov.
Currently, the team has launched alpha testing of iOS and Android and plans to provide a free pilot version of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
