The number of fatalities from the Russian strike on a high-rise in Sumy has risen to seven, and 13 people have been injured.
This was reported on Telegram by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Sumy region.
"The number of fatalities from the Russian strike on a high-rise in Sumy has risen to seven. Rescuers have recovered the body of another person. As of 5:00 PM, 13 people have been injured, including a child," the post reads.
It is noted that emergency and rescue operations are ongoing.
UPDATE
The number of casualties has risen to 9, and the rescue operation has been completed.
Thirteen people were injured, including an 8-year-old girl. Two high-rise buildings and more than 20 cars were damaged.
