In Odessa, another body was found under the rubble of a building hit by an enemy drone, bringing the death toll from the city shelling to eight.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service.
"At the site of the Russian strike on the multi-story building, the body of the eighth deceased person was found under the rubble," rescuers reported.
Currently, efforts are underway to retrieve the body of the deceased from under the rubble of the multi-story building.
During the night of March 2, the Russians attacked Odessa and the surrounding area with drones. After the first hour of the night, explosions were heard in the city, after which it became known that one of the Russian drones had hit a multi-story building.
As of 6:00 p.m., seven fatalities were reported. Among them, the bodies of a mother and her three-month-old child were found under the rubble.
Meanwhile, the State Emergency Service stated that search operations at the scene of the tragedy are ongoing, as there may still be people under the rubble.
As emphasized by Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin, Russian military deliberately targeted a residential building in Odessa. There were no military targets nearby.
Due to the tragedy in Odessa, mourning was declared.
