As a result of the strike on the TV tower in Kharkiv, as well as the nearest settlements, the signal of digital terrestrial broadcasting is absent.
This was reported by the Telegram channel of the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration , Oleh Syniehubov.
As noted by Syniehubov, the Russians targeted the TV tower with an X-59 missile. The total height of the structure was 250 meters. The strike was at an altitude of about 140 meters.
"Technical premises are damaged. Experts are analyzing the extent of damage to television equipment," added the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
Syniehubov noted that currently residents of Kharkiv can connect to:
- Cable TV;
- Satellite TV.
Additionally, radio, internet, and mobile communication continue to operate in the region.
Yesterday, April 22, the enemy attacked the TV tower in Kharkiv with a missile. As later revealed by the regional prosecutor's office, the Russians used a guided aviation missile Kh-59 during the strike.
According to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, the enemy's strike was an attempt to cut off the city from communication and information. He emphasized that currently our country needs to strengthen its air defense and welcomed the efforts of partners who want to help Ukraine with this issue.
