Ukrainian forces have shot down a Russian Su-34 fighter jet, announced Air Force commander Mykola Oleshchuk on the morning of February 21st.

Oleshchuk did not specify the direction in which the fighter was shot down.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has not commented on these reports.
