Ukrainian forces have shot down a Russian Su-34 fighter jet, announced Air Force commander Mykola Oleshchuk on the morning of February 21st.
"This time I can say that the pilot of the Su-35 was lucky - he maneuvered and no longer takes risks. But the crew of the Su-34 joins our 'Eternal Flight, Brothers' category," he wrote.
Oleshchuk did not specify the direction in which the fighter was shot down.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has not commented on these reports.
According to the General Staff, as of the morning of February 21st, Russia has lost 338 aircraft in the war in Ukraine.
