The team of the animal protection organization UAnimals has launched its own — UAnimals media. It's a niche online media platform without news, but with stories about humane treatment of animals and the environment in the format of interviews, reports, columns, investigations, explanatory articles, and quizzes.
UAnimals aims to reach not only supporters of animal welfare but also those seeking answers to questions about the interaction between humans and animals, as well as humans and nature, while remaining open to dialogue.
Ludmyla Smolyar, head of UAnimals media, told Detector Media:
"UAnimals media was born out of the feeling that we have something to say in long-form content, not just on social media. Hundreds of people, animals, their stories, and situations pass through us every week, which should be made known — in a good or bad sense. The media format is provided for the exploration and description of these stories as best as possible. Moreover, we hope to interest not only people who are sympathetic to animal welfare or environmental preservation topics but also those who are open to dialogue and see meaning in it. This is the main message: we are not just for the bubble — we are for all educated and conscious people who strive to live in a safe and civilized world. To the extent that this is possible at all."
