On March 7th, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) allowed DVL Telecom to acquire the Ukrainian fixed-line and digital services operator "Datagroup-Volia". This decision will enable the company, owned by French billionaire Xavier Niel, to gain control over Datagroup Holding Limited.
Additionally, the Committee approved the coordinated actions between NJJ UPAM, DVL Telecom, Lorimer II Ventures Limited, and a Ukrainian citizen, which involve refraining from competition for a period of 5 years.
Previously, the French investment company NJJ Capital, owned by Xavier Niel, agreed to purchase the Ukrainian subsidiaries of the Turkish operator Turkcell for $500 million. Niel noted that the price was low compared to the profits of the Ukrainian operator lifecell.
