The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and authorized the Oncilla-Shturm armored personnel carrier for operation. This domestically produced armored vehicle is designed to perform a wide range of tasks.
The vehicle accommodates three crew members and six soldiers. It is equipped with an automatic transmission and a powerful turbocharged diesel engine, which together provide excellent mobility and speed characteristics. The fuel range extends to over 700 km.
The armor and design of the Oncilla-Shturm ensure protection for the crew and passengers against gunfire, shrapnel, and explosive hazards.
"Domestic armored vehicle 'Oncilla-Shturm' demonstrates Ukraine's progress in developing military technology that meets the modern battlefield needs. Its reliability and functionality allow our forces to carry out combat missions in highly challenging conditions, ensuring personnel protection and operational effectiveness," stated Deputy Minister of Defense, Dmytro Klimenko.
Standard equipment of the armored personnel carrier includes an automatic tire inflation system, hydraulic steering assist, air conditioning with additional heating, an automatic fire suppression system, a filtration and ventilation system, and a winch. The armament consists of a remotely operated combat module with a heavy machine gun.
The armored vehicle can be produced in various modifications.
