The 12th Special Purpose Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, Azov, has begun accepting foreigners into its ranks.
This was announced on the brigade's official Telegram channel.
"Service in Azov means modern military standards, professionalism, as well as camaraderie and mutual respect. Fighters from around the world have already joined our ranks and stand shoulder to shoulder with Ukrainians against the aggressor," the brigade stated.
The brigade offers recruits modern weaponry, high-quality training, and motivated comrades.
Since October 2024, foreigners and stateless persons have been allowed to hold officer positions in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, and the State Special Transport Service.
To qualify, they must undergo a special screening conducted by the Foreign Recruitment Center, an institution currently being established.
The screening will include verifying the legality of their stay in Ukraine and checking for any administrative or criminal offenses under Ukrainian law.
