The Bayraktar drone manufacturing plant of the Turkish company Baykar Makina will be fully operational in Ukraine after the end of the war with Russia.
This was reported by Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkey Vasyl Bodnar in an interview with Euronews.
"We are working with Baykar Makina in various dimensions, including the establishment of the plant," Bodnar said.
According to him, the plant will be fully operational in Ukraine after the war concludes.
The ambassador declined to provide details about the plant for security reasons but noted that there is significant progress.
He also reminded that Ukraine cooperates with Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI).
In July 2023, the Turkish company Baykar began constructing a factory in Ukraine for the production of Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicles. The plant is expected to produce more than 100 drones annually.
