The bodies of 100 fallen defenders have been returned to Ukraine

Ukraine has returned the bodies of another 100 fallen defenders, as reported by the Coordination Headquarters for Prisoner of War Affairs.

The fallen defenders have been returned through the collaboration of the Coordination Headquarters for Prisoner of War Affairs with the Unified Center at the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (Secretariat of the Commissioner for Missing Persons under Special Circumstances), the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Main Directorate for Civil Protection), the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and other representatives of the Security and Defense Sector of Ukraine.

"Special thanks are extended to the International Committee of the Red Cross for their assistance," wrote the Coordination Headquarters for Prisoner of War Affairs

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are facilitating the transportation of repatriated bodies and remains to designated state institutions for handover to representatives of law enforcement agencies and forensic experts for identification.

Once identified, the bodies of our defenders will be handed over to their families for dignified burial.
