The deluxe edition âUKRAINE. Food & Historyâ was created by the Ukrainian Institute together with the research and educational project Ñzhakultura and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in 2020. The book helps foreign audiences to discover the history, culture, and customs of Ukraine through its gastronomic traditions. Six chapters prepared by researchers of Ukrainian cuisine, history, and culture tell about the history of Ukrainian cuisine, traditions of hospitality, seasonal food, sweet and ceremonial dishes, and culinary diplomacy. The best chefs of Ukraine worked on recipes that convey the peculiarities of each region of the country. Recipes can be used by anyone from anywhere in the world and with different levels of training.
The book can be purchased on Amazon in French or read freely available in English and Ukrainian on the website of the Ukrainian Institute and on the website yizhakultura.com.
