Agreeing to the conditions currently set by Polish border blockers is not a solution to the problem. The Vice President of the Association of International Road Carriers, Volodymyr Balin, proposed a compromise solution regarding permits, suggesting the implementation of a European permit for international transport in Ukraine.
During the briefing on 'Border Blocking: Current Situation and Solutions,' Balin reported that a practical algorithm has been proposed to the Poles regarding the electronic queue at the Dolhobychuv-Uhryniv checkpoint, located on Polish territory, which can technically accommodate trucks without cargo. Balin expressed agreement that if this solution is accepted, Polish trucks can travel without an electronic queue.
The second compromise regarding the electronic queue, which is more challenging to implement but has merit, involves ceasing the registration of vehicles at crossings where empty trucks are present and recording the arrival on-site. In other words, eliminating the electronic queue and establishing a live queue with electronic recording of the crossing event."
