The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, on the basis of the decision of the Kievsky District Court of the city of Odessa, transferred to the Ministry of Energy the ownership of a property complex for loading, storing and unloading liquefied hydrocarbon gas in the Reni Commercial Sea Port.

The information is from the Office of the Prosecutor General. The value of the gas terminal is about UAH 100 million.

Prosecutors proved that the enterprise was acquired in 2012 by members of a criminal organisation led by a fugitive Ukrainian businessman and was used to disguise tax evasion crimes under the guise of fictitious export of oil products.

The former head and three employees of the gas terminal in the port of Reni, who acted as part of a criminal organisation and contributed to the deliberate evasion of taxes by the controlled enterprises, have been convicted and organized the compilation of deliberately false official documents.
