During the night of May 30, the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully struck the Russian ferry crossing in the occupied Crimea.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is reported that the strike was carried out with ATACMS ballistic missiles. The target was the Kerch ferry crossing, which was actively used by the enemy to supply its military forces in the occupied Crimea.

The General Staff noted that this object was covered by modern Russian air defense systems, including "Pantsir-S1," "Tor," and S-400 "Triumph," but despite this, missiles of American production successfully hit the target. As a result of the strike, two ferries, which were used for railway and automobile transportation, suffered significant damage. One of them ran aground, blocking the operation of the entire Kerch ferry crossing.

Thanks to the successful combat work of Ukrainian rocket troops, the military logistics of the Russian forces on the peninsula have been significantly undermined.

"The enemy must remember: Crimea is Ukraine," emphasized the General Staff.

Both ferries — the railway and automobile ones — were the only ones of their kind serving the Kerch ferry crossing.

In addition to them, the occupied peninsula is connected to the Russian mainland by five more ferries: two small automobile ferries named "Kerchensky-2" and "Yeisk," and three large automobile ferries named "Lavrentiy," "Panagia," and "Maria."
