This was announced by the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine's parliament), Taras Melnychuk.
Upon the proposal of the Ministry of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure, the Kherson port will be merged with the state enterprise "Stevedoring Company Olvia" in Mykolaiv.
In 2020 and 2021, Ukraine handed over the "Mykolaiv Port Olvia" and "Kherson Sea Trade Port" to concession. Currently, they are not operational due to the ongoing conflict.
The concession competition for the Olvia port was won by the Qatari company QTerminals, which committed to investing 3.4 billion UAH in the project.
The winner of the concession competition for the state enterprise "Kherson Sea Trade Port" was the company "Risoil-Kherson." They planned to invest over 300 million UAH in the port.
