The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have detained the deputy commander of the Hamas Naval Forces in Gaza, Muhammad Abu Ghali.

This information was reported by The Times of Israel, citing a statement from the IDF. It is noted that he was detained by the IDF's Naval Special Operations unit "Shayetet 13." Currently, no details about the detention have been provided.

"The suspect is in custody and is currently being interrogated by representatives of the defense ministry," the statement says.

In addition, the military has reported shooting down a Palestinian terrorist who infiltrated Israel from the Gaza sector and successfully targeting three rocket launchers with a naval vessel.
