Representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Andriy Yusov believes that another attempt on the life of the President of Ukraine indicates that the Russian forces is using methods that go beyond the scope of traditional warfare. He said this during the United News telethon.
According to Yusov, such attempts to organize assassinations are not happening for the first time.
"This is not the first time it has happened. The fact that the enemy tried again to attempt an assassination on the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, continues the attempts to organize assassinations of the military-political leadership of our state, in particular General Budanov, means that Ukraine is resisting. And including the leaders of the country and Volodymyr Zelensky are a serious threat to the enemy," said the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
He congratulated his colleagues on successful work - the apprehension of the criminal.
"The whole world needs to understand who we are dealing with. This is not a civilized opponent, this is not a civilized state. These are treacherous terrorists who can use various most disgusting methods that go beyond the scope of traditional warfare," Yusov noted.
As reported, as a result of close cooperation between the Security Service, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, and Polish law enforcement agencies, a Polish citizen was detained who offered cooperation to the Russian special services in the assassination attempt on President Volodymyr Zelensky.
