Russian volunteers who breached the Russian border on Tuesday, March 12, are acting autonomously. As citizens of Russia, they have the full right to do so.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing an exclusive comment from the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov.

"The Legion 'Freedom of Russia', RDC, 'Siberian Battalion' operate autonomously on the territory of the so-called Russian Federation as independent structures and organizations, fulfilling their socio-political tasks," he said.

Yusov added that it is likely a joint operation of these structures is currently underway in this territory.

"After all, they are citizens of the Russian Federation and have the full right to do so," the intelligence officer concluded.

On March 12, the "Freedom of Russia" Legion, RDC, and "Siberian Battalion" entered the Kursk and Belgorod regions of the Russian Federation as part of a joint operation. In particular, in the Belgorod region, they are advancing in several directions after breaking through on tanks.
