Minister for Economic Cooperation & Development of Germany, Svenja Schulze, arrived in Kyiv for an unannounced visit.
According to Tagesschau, the minister's visit is part of the preparation for the reconstruction conference, which is expected to gather around 1,500 participants in Berlin, including heads of states and governments. The conference is scheduled for June 11 and 12.
According to the publication, Schulze's negotiations in Kyiv will focus, among other things, on expanding the Ukrainian power grid with the assistance of Germany and preparing skilled workers.
"People here are rebuilding their country every day, they don't give up. Therefore, it is very important to have not only military support but also support for civilian reconstruction," she said.
In addition, the politician is participating in the 'Summit of Cities and Regions,' which will take place in Kyiv.
