Several editorial offices of Ukrainian media outlets have independently reported to the Ministry of Defense that they have received proposals to publish information on their media platforms that exhibits signs of a planned campaign aimed at discrediting the work of the department and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is stated in a press release from the Ministry of Defense.

The essence of the texts sent to the editorial offices is identical. This time, the text being proposed to the editorial offices concerns an alleged purchase of howitzers from one of the EU partner countries.

We emphasize that the information being proposed for dissemination is distorted and manipulative in nature. We urge all media outlets that have received a similar offer for publication to seek an official comment from the Ministry of Defense before using such 'materials' in their publications. Likewise, if similar offers are made to the media in the future, we urge you to verify the provided information by reaching out to official sources such as the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine or the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Disseminating inaccurate and/or distorted information about the activities of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine harms the country's defense capabilities and support from partner countries.
