The newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of France, Stéphane Séjourné, arrived for a visit to the Ukrainian capital on Saturday, January 13, as reported by BFM TV.
"I came here to say that France will support Ukraine in the long term from economic, military, and humanitarian perspectives," Séjourné said after arriving in Kyiv.
He added that representatives of France will conduct "a certain number of visits" to "understand what Ukrainians need today."
It is expected that the new head of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after lunch today.
This is Stéphane Séjourné's first visit to Ukraine since his appointment a few days ago.
