The next meeting of the Contact Group on Defense Matters of Ukraine in the "Ramstein" format is scheduled for March 19 in Germany.
This was reported by "Radio Free Europe" citing a statement from the press service of the U.S. military forces in Europe.
"The U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin plans to hold a personal meeting of the Contact Group on Defense Matters of Ukraine at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, on March 19, 2024," the statement said.
It is noted that Austin has again invited defense ministers and senior military officials from around the world to discuss the crisis in Ukraine and various security issues faced by U.S. allies and partners.
The Contact Group on Defense Matters of Ukraine (in the "Ramstein" format) brings together nearly fifty countries that contribute to providing weapons to Ukraine in its resistance to Russian aggression.
The previous 19th meeting in the "Ramstein" format took place online on February 14. During the meeting, discussions focused on strengthening air defense, artillery systems, and drones.
