The online platform "Empower" from the University of Cambridge for learning the English language has become available to Ukrainian universities, and its launch is part of the support provided by Cambridge since the beginning of the full-scale Russian aggression, as reported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
"Empower is an online platform from the University of Cambridge, available to all Ukrainian universities. Its launch is part of the support package provided to Ukraine by Cambridge since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion. Empower is one of the first services introduced as part of the national language program, Future Perfect, aimed at promoting the English language in Ukraine," the ministry's press service stated.
It is noted that the platform is not intended for self-study of the language; it offers educational courses that require a teacher or instructor to master the language.
"Free access is available to Ukrainian universities and language providers, regardless of their ownership structure. The platform contains Cambridge Empower educational courses from A1 to C1, which is a general English course for adults and older teenagers, combining materials for classroom work and personalized online practice. For teachers, Cambridge English Power offers a flexible classroom methodology that focuses on practical skills and requires active student engagement," the ministry stated.
As previously reported, Ukraine is launching a national project to popularize the English language called Future Perfect. The Future Perfect program includes products and services designed to facilitate learning English in convenient and accessible formats.
