The Orlivka ferry complex, which was hit by a Russian strike on November 22, has resumed operations, but currently only in a test mode.

This was reported by the operational headquarters of the Izmail District State Administration.

“One ferry is operating on the line with an approximate departure frequency of once per hour. At the moment, the crossing is available for pedestrians, passenger vehicles, and freight trucks (TIR),” the statement says.

However, bus crossings are temporarily not possible, the operational headquarters noted.

On the night of November 22, the enemy attacked the Orlivka checkpoint in the Odessa region on the border with Romania.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine stated that restoring the Orlivka checkpoint in Odessa after the enemy strike could take several weeks.

The Orlivka-Isaccea ferry connection on the Ukraine-Romania border was launched in September 2020. It provides a direct route from southern Odessa region to the European Union, shortening the travel distance by 200 km.
