The Russian army has killed 521 children in Ukraine. The General Prosecutor's Office reported this in Telegram.

"More than 1,732 children have suffered in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. As of the morning of January 24, 2024, according to the official information of juvenile prosecutors, 521 children have died, and more than 1,211 have been injured to varying degrees," the statement reads.

It is emphasized that the data is not final, and work is ongoing to establish them in areas of hostilities, temporarily occupied, and liberated territories.

The highest number of affected children is in Donetsk Region - 504, Kharkiv Region - 325, Kherson Region - 146, Kyiv Region - 130, Dnipropetrovsk Region - 111, Mykolaiv Region - 101, Zaporizhzhia Region - 100, Chernihiv Region - 72, and Luhansk Region - 67.

On January 23, as a result of a series of shelling by the Russian army in Kharkiv, an 8-year-old girl was killed. Nine children aged 3 to 17 were wounded.

Also, yesterday, due to shelling by Russian forces in Kyiv, six children aged 14 to 17 were affected.
