The de-occupation of Kherson was carried out with losses, methodical "gnawing through the enemy's defenses."

Advisor to the Office of the President Aleksey Arestovich reacted to information about the order of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu to retreat from the right bank of the Dnieper. He reported that the Russian army not only retreated from the city, but was driven out by Ukrainian troops.

He wrote about this on his Facebook page.

He placed the proper emphasis on the retreat of the occupying army from Kherson.

"Let's get it right: the Russian army does not leave Kherson. It was driven out of Kherson by the Ukrainian Defense Forces. It was driven out with heavy fighting, with losses, methodically chewing through the enemy's defenses, working with crossings, hard and bloody military labor," Arestovich said.

He addressed himself to the townspeople.

"Dear Kherson residents. Here we are, returning. Here you are, returning. Welcome home," the adviser wrote.

According to him, the fighting on the right bank of the Dnieper will continue "for some time", and then a difficult period of stabilization measures will follow.

The head of the Kherson regional military administration, Yaroslav Yanushevich, addressed the residents of the Kherson region and everyone who has any information about the events on the southern front. He called for informational silence.

"Do not disclose anything about the actions of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. This is very important for our joint victory!" - he wrote in his Telegram.

He emphasized that one should not prematurely fall into euphoria. Whatever the Russians say, trust only official sources of information, Yanushevich noted.

  • Before the retreat, the invaders in Kherson had already completely plundered and taken all the property to the left bank, and what they could not take out was simply smashed.
  • Subsequently, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Sergey Shoigu, ordered the commander of the so-called "special operation" in Ukraine, Surovikin, to proceed with the withdrawal of troops across the Dnieper River.
  • November in the Kherson region, the Russian army blew up 5 crossings.
  • Russian Defense Minister Serhiy Shoigu ordered the commander of the so-called "special operation" in Ukraine, Surovikin, to withdraw troops across the Dnipro River. The occupiers are supposed to leave the Right Bank shortly.
