The head of the Estonian Defense Forces Intelligence Center, Ants Kiviselg, stated that Russia still has four million artillery shells, which would be enough for a year of low-intensity warfare.
According to his words, the acquisition of 350,000 artillery shells from North Korea indicates that Russia plans to continue the war against Ukraine for a long time. This information was reported by ERR.
According to the Estonian military's assessment, the main directions for Russia in Ukraine are currently two front sections: Avdiivka to Marinka and Kupiansk to Lyman. Russia refers to these actions as active defense, but Estonian military experts believe that, in reality, this indicates preparations for a new offensive.
TIn the Estonian military's analysis, the fact that 350,000 artillery shells were delivered from North Korea to Russia is considered an additional indicator of Russia's intentions. Ants Kiviselg believes that this is a significant increase in their ammunition stocks, especially considering that Russia had approximately four million shells remaining.
The Estonian General Staff emphasized that despite the increased activity of Russian forces, the Ukrainian Armed Forces may soon break through the enemy's defenses and gain access to the operational space.
