The Security Service of Ukraine reported suspicion to a militant appointed by the Russians as the so-called "acting chairman of Severodonetsk." This was reported in the press center of the special services.
According to the investigation, from June to July, a 24-year-old citizen of Severodonetsk served as "acting head of the city of Severodonetsk" in the "administration of the city of Severodonetsk" of the "LPR".
"Earlier, a young man without secondary education and professional experience in any field fought in the ranks of the militants of the so-called "2 AK" of the Russian occupation army. As the "leader" of an almost destroyed city, the ex-militant did not distinguish himself in any way and was expectedly released from office in early July," the statement said.
The SBU informed the temporary "head" of the occupation administration of the city of suspicion under Part 5 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
"For the voluntary occupation by a citizen of Ukraine of a position related to the performance of organizational and administrative or administrative and economic functions in illegal authorities established in the temporarily occupied territories, the law provides for punishment - up to 10 years in prison with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions from 10 to 15 years or engage in certain activities, with possible confiscation of property," the SBU said.
The pre-trial investigation is now ongoing. Soon the collaborator will be put on the wanted list.
