Russians launched a missile strike against a ship that was entering the port of the Odessa region. One sailor died.
This information is reported by the Southern Ukraine Defense Forces on Telegram.
According to the military, the occupiers fired an anti-radiolocation missile X-31P in the direction of one of the ports in the Odessa region.
"The missile hit the superstructure of a civilian ship flying the flag of Liberia at the moment of its entry into the port," clarified the Southern Ukraine Defense Forces.
As a result of the strike, three crew members, who are citizens of the Philippines, were injured. One of them has been hospitalized.
Additionally, a pilot died, and another port worker was injured.
Ukraine's Minister of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure, Olexander Kubrakov, stated that the ship was supposed to transport iron ore to China.
He also noted that this is the 21st deliberate attack by Russia on Ukraine's port infrastructure since withdrawing from the "grain deal."
