The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has detained another FSB agent in Odessa. The perpetrator was collecting coordinates for a new series of missile-drone strikes on the city.

Among the enemy's priority targets were the positions of air defense systems defending the airspace of the regional center. To pinpoint the locations of Ukrainian forces, the suspect drove around the city and its outskirts, covertly photographing the desired objects. He transmitted the obtained information to his Russian curator through an anonymous messenger chat.

In case of the capture of Odessa, the enemy accomplice hoped, under the protection of Russian special services, to lead the "construction management" of the local occupation administration.

SSU operatives timely exposed and documented the agent, subsequently catching him red-handed. The perpetrator was near a military facility, where he attempted to photograph its perimeter.

According to the investigation, the suspect is a 55-year-old resident of a coastal village in the Odessa region, who periodically posted pro-Kremlin comments on Russian Telegram channels. As a result, he attracted the attention of the FSB, which remotely recruited him in June of this year. During a search at the suspect's place of residence, two mobile phones were found, which he used to communicate with the FSB.

SSU investigators have informed him of suspicion under Article 111 Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason committed under conditions of martial law).

The perpetrator is in custody and faces potential life imprisonment.

Comprehensive measures were conducted by SSU officers in the Odessa region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office.
