The Special Operations Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that during a nighttime strike on the Russian military airfields in the occupied cities of Berdyansk and Luhansk, nine Russian helicopters of various modifications were destroyed, along with special equipment present at the airfields, air defense systems, an ammunition depot.

Additionally, it was reported that the runways of the airfields were damaged.

According to the SSO's information, the operation carried out on the night of October 17 was named "DRAGONFLY."

The Special Operations Forces received intelligence about the use of these airfields by the enemy and the significant presence of aviation and special equipment, as well as ammunition. This information was verified and confirmed, and the coordinates and necessary data were provided for targeting the units of the Defense Forces. As a result of the fire strike on the night of October 16-17, the occupiers suffered significant losses.

The Special Operations Forces Command noted that the ammunition depot in Berdiansk detonated until 4 AM, and the detonation in Luhansk continued until 11 AM.

The report states, "The losses among the enemy's personnel amount to dozens killed and wounded. Bodies are still being recovered from the rubble."
